Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority announced that Keolis MHI, the company responsible for operating and maintaining Dubai Metro as well as the operation of Dubai Tram, has succeed in hiring 212 UAE nationals, with a Emiratisation rate of 12% of its total employees, keeping in line with the latest decree that requires private sector employers across the UAE to ensure 10% of their workforce are UAE Nationals in the next five years. Keolis MHI exceeded the target during the first six months of operations only with an even split of 50% men to 50% women, confirming its commitment to RTA’s Emiratisation plan, and providing opportunities for Emirati competencies in various fields of work.

Keolis MHI Rail Management and Operations LLC, today announced that it has successfully achieved the GEEIS certification award in the UAE. The award was celebrated in the French Pavilion at Expo 2020, under the patronage of the French Embassy, Arborus (founder of GEEIS label) and CCI France UAE, with the presence of His Excellency the French Ambassador Xavier Chatel.
Keolis Group, the company in charge of operating and maintaining Dubai Metro and operating Dubai Tram, through its subsidiary Keolis-MHI, formed with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), announced its participation in the MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition 2022. The event, jointly organized by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai, is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center until 8 February 2022.
With students getting back to schools at the start of the new academic year 2021-2022, RTA embarked on an initiative to give away laptops to the most frequent commuting students that use the metro and tram services to reach their schools and universities; which reflects the RTA’s commitment to encourage all community segments, especially students, to use public transit means encompassing Dubai metro, tram, public buses and marine transit means.
