The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, in cooperation with Keolis MHI, Dubai Metro and Tram operator, has recently completed the training of 21 Ajman’s Applied Technology High School students in applied engineering and technology. The programme is part of RTA's strategy to develop Emirati students' skills in the field of rail technology and future Foresight. This initiative aims to prepare a generation of Emirati youths with scientific and practical knowledge to keep up with the future's technical needs.

The training programme extended over three weeks. It included various theoretical and practical training sessions related to work tasks within RTA. The program focused on the future of engineering aspects, rail operations, software engineering principles, and future foresight in applied technology.

The RTA has emphasized empowering students to tackle professional challenges post-graduation. This involves fostering young talents in the country and establishing a conducive environment for preparing future leaders who can anticipate the future, develop the necessary skills to lead the next stage and drive growth for the RTA's work agenda in the present and future.

The training programs are part of RTA’s comprehensive plan to prepare young national competencies for the future and were designed following the best international standards for training and qualifying national cadres.

RTA will continue collaborating with educational institutions nationwide to help students achieve their academic goals and gain maximum benefit from their studies to develop their skills and prepare them for the job market. As part of this effort, the RTA has partnered with the Applied Technology High School in Ajman to offer training opportunities to outstanding students at Keolis MHI, providing them with theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
